Setup Disciplines Specific Profiles

Please do the following if you get odd errors at startup, such as saying it can find profile information and such:

  1. If you only need Architectural Standards, download the "ArchOnly.arg" file attached, if you need Architectural and MEPS, download the "ArchMEP.arg" file attached and if you only need MEPS, download the "MEPOnly.arg" file attached.
  2. Open the newest version AutoCAD that has been installed
  3. Start a new drawing
  4. Type Options
  5. Go to the Profile tab
  6. Select Import
  7. Select the ARG file that you downloaded in step 1.
  8. Change the profile name to your remote desktop username with the @bei-it.com, so cwade@bei-it.com would become cwade
    1. If you need to be able to switch between profiles, add -MEP, -MEPArch or -Arch to the end of the profile name as applicable, so cwade would become cwade-MEP for MEPS only.
  9. IMPORTANT: Make sure "Include path information" is checked.
  10. Click Apply & Close
  11. Select your newly imported profile (in this example, cwade-MEP)
  12. Click Set Current
  13. Close AutoCAD
  14. Reopen AutoCAD
  15. Confirm settings are correct
  16. OPTIONAL - Repeat this for any additional versions of AutoCAD that have been installed.
