Wi-Fi Policy




The purpose of thissection is to establish a Wi-Fi policy that will help to ensure security andstability of the company Wi-Fi system.

 

There are two setsof Wi-Fi Networks, the Guest Wi-Fi Network and the Employee Wi-Fi Network, eachhave their own names, passwords and policies as outlined below.


                  
   
  
              
   
  
  Guest Wi-Fi Networks
  
  •    
  • This network is only for       guests, such as clients, associates and others that do not have or need       access to any company data. All employees, including interns should use       the employee network for all devices.

  •    
  • Network Name(s) will be       changed every 6 months
  •    
  • Password will be changed on       the first day of each month
  •

    • Password will also change        immediately upon termination of any staff member for any reason.
    •    
  •    
  • Password will be available       at the front desk or from any of the IT Staff
  •    
  • Password is not to be       written down any place else
  •    
  • For security purposes, this       Wi-Fi network will be configured to reject connections from all employee       devices.

  • Will have a sign in page       that states:

    • This Wi-Fi network is for        the use of guest of Breen Engineering, Inc. only, employees should        contact the IT staff for connection to the internal network.
    •     
    • Wireless Internet Access        by nature is not secure, as such any information being sent or received        over this network could potentially be intercepted by another wireless        user.
    •     
    • It is strongly recommended        to not transmit credit card, banking, classified data or any other        sensitive information while using a Wi-Fi network or "Hot        Spot".
    •     
    • Breen Engineering has no        control over the information available over the Internet and cannot be        held responsible for content or accuracy. Breen Engineering cannot be        held responsible for any confidential or financial information that        guests may send over the Wi-Fi connection.
    •     
    • All communication over        this Wi-Fi network is subject to monitoring.
    •     
    • Guests will need a mobile        device that supports the latest wireless standards to connect to this        Wi-Fi network.
    •     
    • Breen Engineering assumes        NO responsibility for the safety of the equipment used.
    •     
    • Abide by all laws while        using this Wi-Fi network and do not use it for any unlawful activity.
    •     
    • Breen Engineering may        revoke access to this Wi-Fi network at any time, for any reason,        including but not limited to violation of these terms or service,        disruption of access to other users, actions that may lead to liability        for Breen Engineering.
    •     
    • Breen Engineering may        change these terms of service at any time, you must review and accept        these terms of service each time you use this Wi-Fi network.
    •     
    • By using this Wi-Fi        network for wireless internet services, you are agreeing to these terms        and conditions.

       Employee Wi-Fi Networks
  
  •    
  • This network is only for       employees, anyone else, such as clients, associates and others that do       not have or need access to any company data.
  •

  •    
  • Network Name(s) will be       changed every 6 months
  •    
  • Password will be changed on       the first day of each month
  •    

    •     
    • Password will also change        immediately upon termination of any staff member for any reason.

  • Password will be available       from May or any of the IT Staff
  •    

    •     
    • First time setup of each        device will need to be done through the IT Staff, as the MAC Address of        the device will be registered to allow it to connect.
    •    
  •    
  • Password is not to be       written down any place else
  •    
  • This Wi-Fi network will be       configured to reject connections from any devices not registered to       connect to the Employee Wi-Fi Network.
