Setting-up Server Connection for Users

This simple steps will guide you on how to set-up server connection for user's accessibility. 




Go to Files then look for This PC > Right Click This PC > Click Properties > then click Change settings or you can actually do the shortcut.



1. Type sysdm.cpl in your search bar and press enter.



2. It will show  "Systems Properties"

3. In System Properties, go to Remote tab, then Select Users. 



4. In adding Group or Specific user, click Add. Type the user or Group that you want to add and then click Check Names


5. It will suggest all the possible user that can access. Choose the specific user/s you want to add then click OK.


6. After adding, click OK > Apply > OK

7. The chosen user/s will now be added and can now access the said server. 



*If you wish to remove a user/group, follow steps 1-3. This time, you'll select the added user/group and then click Remove. Then click OK > OK.




NOTE: 


- This process is applicable for Active Directory and File Server. In this way, we can give server connection to those user who are only entitled to access the Active Directory and File Server.


- Also, know that when you don't select a specific user/s, or leave the input box empty, it will automatically allow it to all the Admin group member. 


- It is also automatically set to be accessed by all the Domain User, which you need to remove if necessary. Allowing "Domain Users" is applicable in a Production Server. That's why you need to set-up server connection in every server that you have.
