Slow Network Licenses

In some cases the network licenses may be slow, if this happens, please do the following:

  1. Right-click the My Computer icon and click "Properties"
  2. Click on Advanced System Settings
  3. Click the Advanced tab. 
  4. Click "Environment Variables". 
  5. Under the System Variables window, click "New". 
  6. In the Variable name field enter ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE 
  7. In the Variable value field enter 2080@YOUR_SERVER_IP_ADDRESS (In our case, that is 2080@172.31.7.52 )
  8. Click "OK"
  9. Click "OK"
  10. Reboot License Server
  11. Reboot all remote desktops
  12. Confirm that AutoCAD opens correctly


Check and it should now work correctly.


NOTE: This should only need to be done once per machine and if the IP address of the license server changes, then it should change in step 7 above.
