AWS eGPU
1. What is the best practices to disable and enable eGPU.
Answer: The best practice of using eGPU is if you are using applications that require a small or intermittent amount of additional GPU power for graphics acceleration and support OpenGL.
If you are not using application that required additional GPU power for graphics acceleration then do not using eGPU. So enable(create) eGPU if required, as we cannot disable it once it is attached to an instance.
2. In the conclusion from the ticket is that the performance of an Instance with an impaired eGPU is not always stable.
Answer: When eGPU is in impaired state it means that it is attached to the instance but not in the working state which can cause issues like application slowness,
Instances slowness or unresponsive and so on.
So in conclusion if the eGPU is attached to an EC2 instance and is in impaired state we have to fix the issue.
If you do not need eGPU then we can terminate the instance.
