Message trace on Exchange Server Admin

Exchange Server Admin


1. Go to Office.com


2.  On the left side there's an icon tray and open Admin.



3. Now you're directed to Microsoft 365 Admin Center. On the left side click show all.



4. On Admin centers section open Exchange.



5. You're now directed into Exchange admin center. On the left side of the window open 

the drop down list of Mail flow and under it open Message trace.



6. Inside the Message trace open +Start a trace.



7. After opening +Start a trace a small window will pop up on the right side of your screen.

  1. If you're looking for an email that hasn't been delivered start a search in the Senders search bar and input the user email address.
  2. If you're looking for an email that hasn't been received start a search in the Recipient search bar and input the user email address
  3. click Search

Note: There's also a time range to narrow down your search.
