How to change your Desktop/RDP Password

Go to Control Panel. Click User Accounts. 


Click User Accounts again and it will lead you to this..


*NOTE THAT IF YOU FOLLOW THE GIVEN INSTRUCTION, YOU ARE ABOUT TO CHANGE YOUR LOCAL DESKTOP PASSWORD.


Now, if you wish to change your REMOTE DESKTOP (RD) PASSWORD, press the combination Ctrl + Alt + End and it will proceed to this.


Click on Change a password and it will lead you to this.Input the details asked and then click on the arrow.

*Note that you must have a Strong Password to meet the required password strength.

And that is how you change your Desktop Password.



Again, Ctrl + Alt + Del is for changing your Local Desktop Password, while Ctrl + Alt + End is for changing your RDP Password.


*REMEMBER TO LET THE IT TEAM KNOW YOUR NEW PASSWORD SO THEY CAN HAVE IT SAVED AND BE ABLE TO KEEP TRACK FOR TROUBLESHOOTING AND RECOVERY PURPOSES.
