Setting up Mobile App for Office 365 Authentication

You can setup an app on your phone, where all you need to do is click Approve to verify MFA logins for Office 365


NOTE: This must be done from internet explorer


Download and install Azure Authenticator app


Set Azure Authenticator as your preferred verification method

  1. Sign in to Office 365 using your password and verification code.
  2. Choose Settings  Office 365 Settings button > Office 365.
  3. Choose Security & Privacy > Additional security verification.
  4. Choose Update my phone numbers used for account security.
  5. In the drop down box under What's your preferred option, choose Notify me through app.
  6. At the bottom of the page, choose Azure Authenticator app > Configure.
  7. Open the Authenticator app on your phone.
  8. Tap +.
  9. Scan the barcode image displayed in your browser.
  10. Once you are successful scanning the image, you're account will be added automatically to the Authenticator app, and it will display a six-digit code.
  11. Choose Done in your browser.
  12. Choose Save.


Sign in to Office 365 using Azure Authenticator

  1. Sign in to Office 365 using your work or school account, and password.
  2. Open the Authenticator app on your phone and choose Verify > Close.
